Lymington U10's v Saucony
Lymington U10's played Sauconny on Saturday 23rd February at Southampton Sports Centre. The first quarter saw Lymington go into a storming lead with Sam and Amelia scoring 10 goals between them. In the second quarter Megan and Iona scored a further 4 goals with some good centre court play from Meredith. In the third quarter Lymington continued to dominate the game with some good interceptions from Hannah. Sophie and Meredith were shooting and the score was now 18-0 to Lymington. The final quarter saw Saucony try and score but to no avail with some great defensive work from Meredith and Sophie. The final score was 21-0 to Lymington with the last 3 goals being scored by Sam and Hannah. Lymington U10's today were unstoppable, a great team effort. Hannah was awarded players player by Saucony.

Lymington u/11 v Swan Centre and Lymington u/11 v Weston Park
Double Win for Lymington Under 11s
Lymington Under 11 Netball Squad won two league games on Saturday beating Swan 11 – 9 and Weston Park 7 -5. Both games were close, but as each progressed the Lymington team played more confidently and edged ahead. The win over Weston Park was especially rewarding as Weston have been top of the league and won the opening Southampton Winter Season Tournament. This level of netball is called High 5s and each player rotates to a different position each quarter. Laura Rudd and Lucy Purgavie played intelligently in the shooting circle, Jessica Cooper and Gemma Bown showed successful mid-court play and Bethan Miller, Kitty Watts and Charlotte Groves were excellent in defence. Coach Natalie Yates was very proud and had this to say about her girls ‘All of the girls worked very hard for both wins. They show great promise as a team and played very thoughtfully. I am looking forward to them playing 7 a side netball in the summer.’

Lymington u/12 v Weston Park
Lymington U12 Netball Team took on Southampton League leaders Western Park on Saturday. The game was fiercely contested from the start with both teams battling hard for possession. Katy Winderam, Jessicca Simpkin and Holly Nicholls worked extremely hard through the centre court as the ball was played from end to end. With some excellent defensive work from Isabella Springbett and Imogen Jeffcock, Lymington were able to take advantage of turnover ball with Hannah Mcnally and Beth Blomfield putting the ball through the net at the other end. At half time the score was 4-3 in favour of Lymington.
A second half substitution from Western Park saw them put out a very tall G.S. which gave them a huge advantage in the shooting circle. Adelaide Fisher battled valiently as G.K. and managed to get her fingertips to some of the passes.
Going into the final quater, Lymington found themselves a goal down. Kizzy Smith worked tirelessly through the centre but both teams started to feel the pressure with some scrappy play. However, it was not to be Lymington's day. A few chances to even the score went begging and the final score was Lymington 9, Western Park 11. Well done to all the girls, they've come a long way. The last match against Western was a white wash!
